Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The cottage is quite small but it’s comfortable and the location is beautiful. We enjoyed our trip on the boat and the pub/shop is very convenient. The boys loved bike rides along the tow path. It’s a good base to explore Meath and beyond. We even made it to Belfast one day. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, despite a family health crisis. July 2012.
  2. Lovely owners, the day on the boat was a main highlight of the whole trip. June 2012.
  3. Bugabu Cottage was very comfortable and in a great location. Lovely walks around the area and we had the use of a boat to explore the canal just across the road. We also had the use of bikes. Great location for interesting day excursions. Enjoyed our stay very much. May 2012.
  4. Very comfortable cottage though very much isolated. If you are looking for a peaceful break and are willing to travel during your break, this is for you. Had a lovely relaxing week. March 2012.
  5. We found the cottage comfortable and well equipped. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We did a lot of driving and went to Galway for the day, Trim Castle, would advise to take the guided tour, Dublin but we took the train from Mullingar. Also if you happy to drive for 3 and half hours each way highly reccommend Giants Causeway and Rope Bridge in the north. The day on the boat down the river was glorious and the food at The Flury was lovely. July 2011.
  6. Excellent location for touring, people very friendly and welcoming. July 2011.
  7. Very good location in the middle of Ireland easy access to various places - Dublin, Trim, Navan, Kinnegad, pub just across the canal very very easy access along with the post office and shop. Next pub along Furey’s does not allow dogs, if you go there the mooring is a grass verge be careful how you jump onto it, nearest A & E is Tullamore Hospital open 24 hours a day, very nice staff. June 2011.
  8. The cottage was beautiful and the owner who stayed next door was very helpful. Very rural and quiet, difficult to find but total bliss as I was with 2 young people and there was no internet access - which I found very nice. May 2011.
  9. Lovely peaceful setting. Peter and Frances (owners) went out of their way to be helpful, really friendly people. Boat ride on the canal was a bonus. Good location for touring central Eire. Sept 2010.

  11. The property was spotlessly clean, everything that you needed and very friendly and helpful proprietors. There was also a small boat to use on the canal. May 2010.
  12. The cottage was ideally situated next to a canal with a little shop and pub just across the way. The cottage was well equipped and was ideal for our family holiday. April 2010.
