Nestling amongst the rolling hills of Gwastedyn and Rhiw Gwraidd, this splendid holiday bungalow is well equipped with a four poster bed in the pretty main bedroom and multi-fuel fire in the large living room. All the rooms enjoy wonderful country views and it is 1.5 miles from the glorious River Wye for fishing, canoeing, the Wye Valley Walk and the Welsh cycle route, making this a pleasant holiday location for activities or relaxing. It is centrally situated to Llandrindod Wells, a famous spa town just 6 miles and Rhayader 6 miles, the Gateway to the ’Elan Valley Lakes’. Shop, pub and restaurant 1.5 miles.

  4. Very pleasant accommodation in beautiful picturesque surroundings. An ideal location for a holiday with the dogs due to the ease of walks from the doorstep. The property is large and accommodated 2 adults and 3 teenage boys very well and the games room in the garage was a bonus to keep them amused on an evening after a long day walking. The woodburning stove came in very useful when the weather changed mid-week.I would definitely recommend this accommodation to family and friends. March 2012.

Remote location (car essential) but well placed for many local attractions, including Gilfach Reserve, the Elan Valley Reservoirs and the Gigrin Kite Feeding Station.   7. First class property, which has everything you need. High quality and very clean. Excellent views and very quite. the pub at 1.5 miles is now closed and a good alternative is the Gewstre Inn in Gwestre 6 miles away with a varied menu and very good food and staff. A good centre for visiting the attractions of Mid Wales. The garden with its Bird table and the wildlife in the field was an added bonus as was the single Red Kite that hovered over the area on a regular basis. June 2011.

  9. Excellent location for exploring the Rhayader area. Plenty of opportunity for walking, cycling, etc, or just to relax. Plenty of wild life to see, even on the bird table if you put some seed out. Red kite and buzzards can also be seen regularly near the cottage. A great property if you have a dog with walks in the woodland a few yards up the quiet road. Excellent eateries in the area - cafe’s, pubs and restaurants. June 2011.

  16. The bungalow is in the most beautiful position with fields behind it and forest to the front. The bungalow itself is very comfortable well equipped and very home like.   19. This excellent cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is close to many attractions in the area. There are plenty of places to walk, mountain bike or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside and local attractions. There are also many very good places serving good food and ale in the area. Dog walks right from the cottage into the nearby woodland and other suitable walks nearby. June 2007.
