The apartments face south and open onto a beautiful, landscaped garden with a barbecue area, which is the perfect place to relax after a day’s exploration. 6. The view of the garden, the cricket pitch and then fields beyond the platform of the old station were glorious. Aug 2011.
  7. The frendly way we where met on our arrival, shown to the property and where to leave the car. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with tea, coffee and milk ready so that we could make a drink as soon as we arrived. Excelent base from which to explore the Yorkshire coast and moors. July 2011.
  8. Absolutely excellent. A well-loved property with caring owners who genuinely wanted their guests to have a lovely time which we did. July 2011.
  9. Of all the cottages we have stayed in this is the one for escaping out . The view is superb, the local village is lovely and you could walk for miles in peace and quiet . But it is also so near to so much-the coast, the Dales, York. Is the one place we have been where you could thank the owners for letting you stay even though you pay for the pleasure Thank you. May 2011.
  10. Very easy to find, also close to a number of attractions - not too many miles away. As a steam train enthusiast, it was a step back in time. Beautiful scenery and garden. A quiet, small village with good amenities. Everything was in the cottage that anyone would need for self catering. The cricket field just beyond the garden was an added bonus as you could sit on the terrace with refreshments and enjoy the game. The local people were very friendly too and the owner was also on site. Superb all round. Aug 2010.
  11. It was very clean, well-equipped and comfortable. It was also quiet, gave great access to other places worth visiting e.g. Scarborough, North Yorks Moor railway etc and there is a fabulous butcher in the village. July 2010.
  12. It was very peacefull, the village was lovely great walks. June 2010.
  13. The character and location of the property were second to none. The property contained everything we could possibly need plus some extras besides, beautiful views, short hop to the main road, but so peaceful at night, and having the owner who was very helpful nearby was also a bonus. Sept 2009.
  14. Clean and comfortable. Lovely location, and beautiful garden. Liked the novelty of staying in a railway station! Sept 2009.
  15. Don’t miss The Grapes at Ebberston for a meal. Great food. Visited the Pickering Jazz Festival. Shall be there again next year. The warm reception from the owners and the delightful outlook from our lounge window over the cricket field (There was a match in progress when we arrived) and beyond over the distant hills. July 2009.
  16. Ideal location and base for touring. Warm welcome and every attention to detail. Oct 2008.
  17. Lovely and warm in spite of the awful weather. Plenty of space. Nice and ’homey’. March 2007.
