  1. Perfect place to get away from it all. Spent our honeymoon here. Very lovely village with lovely people and really nice local pub! Nov 2011.
  2. A lovely cottage in a nice village! An excellent location to visit the Cotswolds and the beautiful Chiltrens and its pittoresque villages. The real rural England as we expected (we are from Holland). The cottage is very cosy and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. If you cross the road, there is a nice walking trail along the river Thames to Dorchester. In the local village shop you can buy freshly baked bread every day, as well a postcard which you can send with a picture of the cottage! June 2011.
  3. Everything we expected in a thatch cottage. Feb 2011.
  4. This is a very comfortable, cosy and well-appointed cottage in an outstanding location near to the River Thames. Plenty of walking with the Thames Path virtually on the doorstep and also within easy reach of Dorchester and Abingdon. There is a very handy shop and Post Office almost next door and as we don’t have our own transport we made use of the local buses which were frequent and reliable. It has a lovely sized garden and patio area which is fully enclosed and which our Labrador loved! The owners were very helpful when we had to phone them regarding a small problem which they very quickly rectified. Overall, it was perfect for us. Aug 2010.
  5. A lovely cottage full of character, a pleasure to stay in. July 2010.
  6. The house was cosy and welcoming, the sofa and chair were comfortable. June 2010.
  7. Beautiful peaceful location. April 2010.

  10. The cottage is in a lovely village and is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Its location makes it the perfect base for visting lots of nearby towns. An extra bonus we found was the local shop where you can buy almost anything you could possibly need including freshly baked bread availably daily! Sept 2008.
  11. This cottage was a delight to stay in, enhanced by the friendliness of neighbours, helpfullness of staff at the local Post Office and superb value for money on meals at two local pubs within walking distance. Sept 2008.
  12. The cottage offered a splendid combination of old-world charm and modern equipment. The owners went out of their way to make us welcome. Jan 2008.
  13. A beautiful romantic cottage - absolutely perfect!! March 2007.
  14. The cottage was absolutely lovely, as was the surrounding area. The information provided by the owners was also very helpful. We definitely hope to return at some point. Aug 2007.
  15. We used it as a base to visit our son and young grandchildren who live in Oxford and we found it to be ideal for the children with the enclosed garden. Nov 2007.
