Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Cottage was superb, location ideal. Sept 2012.
  2. The cottage is small with one bedroom suitable for a couple. There is a second upstairs room which would accommodate a small child. The kitchen is well equipped. Watchet is a small town. There is a small supermarket whose prices are more expensive than normal. Aug 2012.
  3. Excellent location in Watchet as only a few paces from harbour, shops, cafes and and half hourly buses. Owners made the cottage most welcome with eggs, coffee tea; even a little posy of flowers - most importantly it was CLEAN. June 2012.
  4. Although we had booked for a week, due to a family illness we had to leave on the Monday. We had a fabulous few days and felt as though we had been there for a lot longer. The cottage was really comfortable, well presented and equipped. We both loved sitting in the window area watching the water rise and fall and would have preferred to have just stayed in. We ventured around the town which is lovely, went on the steam train to Minehead, met some lovely people and ate really well in the Star Inn and the smart new Cafe on the corner opposite the Museum. The added touches by the owners leaving, milk, biscuits and a lovely bottle of red wine was very much appreciated and welcoming. Hopefully, at a later date we will be able to go back and I would certainly have no problem recommending this property. May 2012.
  5. Bridge Cottage is a real gem. The tide going in and out below the window is fun. Well appointed and comfortable. Watchet itself is a real surprise. Aug 2011.
  6. Would recommend Bridge House to any one, excellent location, and the propert was very comfortable, with a few welcome gifts. April 2011.
  7. Good location and interesting situation overlooking the river. Sep 2010.
  8. It was just the right size of a couple (or one person), normally we end up getting a property that’s fits 4 people, which is great if there are four of you to share the costs but not if their isn’t. Finding this size property is gold dust for us, if was nicely presented, with a personal touch. Often cottages look lovely from the outside but inside it’s full of odd and old utilitarian furniture and far to functional, this time it was so nice to be somewhere that was functional but had nice bits and bobs around that made you feel at home. The location was excellent too, seeing the tide come in below the lounge window was unbelievable! Thanks the cottage was brilliant. Fleur. May 2010.
  9. Brilliantly located, perched above the river, with the soothing sound of rushing water in the background. Very charming and cosy inside with much thought clearly given by the owners to the comfort of their guests. April 2010.
  10. Very homely and was well equipped with everything we needed. Great location. Nice personal touches such as a bottle of wine on the table, electric blanket switched on, fresh eggs in the kitchen. Well furnished and cosy. Feb 2010.
  11. An amazing find, quaint, quiet and idyllic an ideal place to stay for a complete get away from it all but within easy reach of various interests. Feb 2010.
  12. Perfect little cottage for two, in a beautiful part of the country. Beaches, pubs and restaurants within minutes of the cottage. What more could you ask for? Delightfully comfortable little cottage in a lovely friendly village. Good restaurants, tea rooms and pubs all within walking distance. Two minutes from beach (rocky) and fossils (if you can find them!). Aug 2009.
  13. Great venue for exploring North Somerset, which is a beautiful area. People of Wachet are very friendly and hospitable especially our hosts. June 2008.
  14. Lovely cottage - we will book with you again and go to the same cottage again. April 2008.
  15. A perfect romantic getaway - ideal location and charming ambience. Oct 2007.
  16. Idyllic cottage overlooking the Washford River. Watching the tide coming under the bridge is relaxing. Dec 2006.
