Property Description

This semi-detached holiday home is set on the owner’s estate close to the NW Lake District National Park with views of Skiddaw, Uldale Fells and Whinlatter. There is a 9-hole golf course and wild carp fishing lake on the estate (available to guests at ½ price) as well as horse riding. Easy access to the Solway Coast, 4 miles, which is good for bird watching. The C2C cycle route passes nearby and there are good fell walking opportunities. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant on estate, 500 yards.

Ground floor: Living room. Second living room. Dining room/kitchen. Utility room. Separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Woodburner in living room included. Oil central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVDs. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Enclosed courtyard with sitting-out area and furniture. Grounds. Barbecue. Ample parking. Cycle store. No smoking. Friday to Friday. NB: Lake in grounds, 500 yards.

  1. Warm, cosy & spacious. A lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings which was very well equipped. The owner gave us a warm welcome & nothing appeared to be much trouble for him during our stay. A highly recommended holiday cottage. June 2012.
  2. This is a property with a definite ’wow’ factor. The photo’s in the brochure didn’t do it justice - it way exceeded our expectations. Very quiet location (apart from sheep baaing and birdsong. Need to be prepared to get in the car and drive, all attractions including mountains a half hour plus drive away, worth it though to come back to such a lovely cottage. June 2012.
  3. The owners could not have given us a warmer welcome. Everything at Brayton Park cottage was spotlessly clean, great facilities! Bonus of location being a sheep farm, loved watching new born lambs from the comfort of the lounge with its log burning fire. Tip for anyone visiting... if you get a cloudless night go stand outside, the stars are amazing, no street lights to spoil the view. All six in our party agreed that we could not have had a better place to stay. March 2012.
  4. This was the most beautifull place set in the middle of no where but on a working farm. A great base for the lakes but a drive to them. March 2012.

  6. A very warm welcoming cottage, very clean and spacious. The log fire was a real treat for us, and was stacked high with fresh logs, waiting to be used. Harry and Hazel made sure we had everything we needed and were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The cottage is so peaceful and is in a beautiful private setting. We will definitely will be visiting again. Ten out of Ten. Oct 2011.

  8. The house is lovely and warm with every facility you could ever want. It is set in a beautiful location with excellent food available locally and a nice little golf course and fishing lake within yards. However the best bit is the hospitality. Everyone we met from the owners of the property to the folks in the pub were great. We will be going back for sure. Aug 2011.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
