Centrally situated in the pictureque village of Garelochhead with views of the Gareloch and surrounding hills, this spacious house has a large conservatory overlooking a pretty private garden. Bordering on Loch Lomond National Park, the cottage is an ideal holiday base to explore the beauty of Argyll and Bute. Visit Loch Lomond where you can take a cruise, take a walk along the Three Lochs Way or take the train along the West Highland line to Oban, Fort William and Mallaig. Shop and pub 500 yards.

  4. A lovely spacious cottage with more than the expected equipment. The cottage and were far larger than indicated in the brochure. Less of the owners belongings, especially in the kitchen, would make space for our own shopping etc. The conservatory was a boon especially when the weather was inclement. Beware of woolen mills - they are all the same! Wasted a day trying to find some variety but the scenery between them was beautiful. A trip to Luss is a must! Try driving right around Loch Tay. April 2011.

  13. Brae Cottage was the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in. It was very well equipped indeed, and a major bonus to have three toilets! Many people to whom we have shown our holiday photos have remarked on the quality of the house. The location was excellent for us too. Some of our party used the train station, which was very close to the house (though up a steep hill - but this is Scotland after all) and we had good views of the loch from bedrooms and the excellent conservatory.
