1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

Set in glorious countryside, near to Appleby golf course, this comfortably furnished and well-equipped holiday cottage enjoys lovely views. Large shared garden, with deep pond, provides plenty of space in which to relax. The surrounding area is perfect for walking, the Pennines are only 1½ miles. Fishing, riding, golf and good inns are all close by. Appleby, 3 miles, with shops, is famous for its colourful Horse Fair in June. The Eden Valley, Lake District , Ullswater ½ hour’s drive, and Yorkshire Dales are all within easy reach. Shops 3 miles.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. 4 steps down to kitchen. 1 twin bedroom. Shower room with toilet. Open tread stairs to first floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, both with additional single, 1 single. Bathroom with toilet.

Gas CH at cost. Convector heaters and elec by meter reading. Bed linen inc. Cot. H/chair. Elec cooker. M/wave. W/machine. Use of owners’ t/dryer. D/washer. F/freezer. Patio and furniture. Shared garden. BBQ. Parking. Unsuitable for the infirm. NB: There is a pond in the garden.

  3. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, unfortunately the weather was wet but the location of the cottage was spot on, we had plenty of room for seven adults and 2 dogs, the surrounding scenery was beautiful we could walk for miles and only see sheep. Sept 2011.
  4. Used as a base for a short break touring the lake district and Carlisle to Settle railway journey. The property offered our (three) families plenty of space, and there was adequate parking for our 4 cars. Just 5 minutes drive into Appleby for an evening drink at The Royal Oak, staff were very welcoming/accommodating for the 2 younger children later in the evening, after busy days out. Small BBQ available on the terrace, although the owner did offer us use of their own BBQ as we were a larger group. Lovely rural view from rear of the property and the stars on each of the clear nights were superb to see. Sociable living room with plenty of seating. Very pleasant owner who also offered info on the local wildlife. Take into account additional costs of gas and electric, although for 9 of us, £16 for the weekend wasn’t too bad. April 2011.
  5. Great place for a quiet relaxing break, more than adequate for our needs. clean and comfortable, but a little way out and a long drive to the nearest big town. March 2011.
