Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Plenty of room, great beds, good kitchen (gas), nice neighbour, privacy, quiet, great sun room. Very interesting local church. I’ve rented for 15 years or so and for the money this is one of the best. Good local pubs for meals especially kings head. June 2012.
  2. Lovely cottage in an excellent location. April 2012.
  3. Probably the warmest cotttage we have stayed in. Nice having a dishwasher and enough crockery to fill it before running it. Feb 2012.
  4. Excellent location and cottage, in lovely ’Suffolk Pink’. Everything you could ask for - comfortable, cosy, clean and warm, the owners have thought of everything. Comfy beds, sofa and freeview tv’s in lounge AND bedrooms. Beautiful little village ideally located for touring the area both inland and coastal and seeing wildlife with so many nature reserves on the doorstep. Lovely country pub within walking distance with delicious food. So much to see we couldn’t fit it all in and we will be returning! Jan 2012.
  5. We couldn’t fault the cottage or its location. Great base for touring the area. The owners have thought of everything for the enjoyment of the holidaymaker. Oct 2011.
  6. A very comfortble cottage within easy reach of all the places of interest in that part of Suffolk with lots of good walks for the dogs. The property allows up to 3 dogs but there is no evidence of dogs in the cottage - it was clean and fresh. Sept 2011.
  7. We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing break exploring the beautiful Suffolk coast and countryside. So ideal for dogs and walkers!! Aug 2011.
  8. This was a lovely quiet village but not far from main village with shops, pubs and supermarket, central to all the lovely beaches and villages. Cottage was a home from home with everything you could need. Some beaches were shingle and some said no dogs though we found if you went further away from main areas dogs were aloud. Lots of footpaths near cottage. Everywhere we went people were friendly and helpful. Had not been to Suffolk before but will return. June 2011.
  9. Great location for walking and visiting Suffolk coast. Bourne cottage was very well equipped and clean. It was fantastic it accepted our 3 dogs. June 2011.
  10. Lovely cottage in a peaceful location but close to all the unspoilt areas that Suffolk has to offer. Great for the dogs with a walk from the doorstep around the outskirts of the village and why not park up in Thorpeness and walk along the beach front to Aldeburgh, enjoy a coffee or even better take a visit to the ice cream parlour before walking back. Bourne Cottage has become our home from home and for anyone wanting a restful holiday away from it all you couldn’t find a better place. March 2011.
  11. The house was in an excellent location, excellent condition and very well equipped. Oct 2010.
  12. A lovely homely feel. A nice welcome cake from the owners and everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. Aug 2010.
  13. We like this property because it is located very conveniently for our needs, as a base to explore Suffolk’s Heritage Coastline. It is an ideal size for us, a family of three. The property is clean and well looked after by the owner. The neighbour is friendly. The local town has good shopping facilities. Aug 2010.
  14. Comfortable and well equipped. May 2010.
  15. Very comfortable and well equiped cottage located in a lovely peaceful village and ideally placed for visiting all the wonderful areas of the suffolk coast. Great walking especially if you have a dog. Lovely walk along the coast from Thorpeness to Aldeburgh where there’s a great Fish & Chip shop and excellent ice cream parlour. What more could you want. Mar 2010.
  16. Pretty and very well equipped cottage in delightful location. Warm and comfortable. March 2010.
  17. An excellent cottage, very cosy in an lovely unspoilt area. Plenty of walks for both us and the dogs. Owners very helpful and accommodating. We’re always welcomed with flowers, a cake and milk. Our year wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Bourne Cottage. Nov 2009.
  18. Well equipped with everything one might need, cosy. Lovely setting in a small village. We have stayed here twice a year for several years! Oct 2009.
  19. Although we do not have dogs, the accommodation welcomes dogs. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the accommodation on arrival, with absolutely no evidence whatsoever of pets. The decor is good, and the seating is comfortable. The cottage contains everything you need, and this is probably best understood by the fact that this was our second visit to Bourne Cottage. The home made cake and pint of milk and flowers in the living room are a very nice touch! Aug 2009.
  20. We had a lovely time in Suffolk. An area we had not been to in the past. The cottage was lovely and made it a super base from which to explore the area. Aug 2009.
