Property Description

Approached by an impressive driveway flanked by trees, these converted former stables buildings occupy a picturesque setting in the grounds of the Georgian Grade II listed Blyth View, once serving as a workhouse. Both holiday properties and adjoining cottages enjoy an elevated position above the Blyth Valley. Surrounded by open countryside, it makes a tranquil setting, yet the Suffolk Heritage Coast, and the towns of Southwold and Walberswick are a mere 10 minutes’ drive. Dunwich, Minsmere bird reserve, Aldeburgh and Snape, all within ½-hour drive. Pub and shop ¾ mile.

Living/dining room with wood-burning stove and rugs on wooden floor. Modern fitted kitchen with wooden floor. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Twin bedroom, each bed with additional pull-out bed (for +1). Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

  2. Excellent accommodation. Many interesting places to visit in the area. The swimming pool was a bonus as the weather was not too wonderful. We ordered an on line shopping to be delivered on the day we arrived so we did not have to worry about shopping over the Bank holiday weekend, then did a midweek shop in Southwold. We were 12 staying in two adjacent properties. April 2012.

  13. It was not as big as it seemed on the video but it was plenty big enough for 2x adults and 2x small dogs. Lovely big rooms, well equipped kitchen.Good position to get too beaches and go for walks. Nasty road to turn out on as cars came very fast from right but thankfully not too busy a road when we were there.Swimming pool excellent and everything very peaceful. April 2010.

  15. Very well equipped with plenty of crockery. Some accommodation only has a few cups and mugs and yet have a dishwasher. This property was like a home from home. Very nice to have a welcome tray of tea, coffee and milk. March 2010.
  16. Very well-equipped property with lots of china, glasses etc, also games, dvds and books. Lovely heated indoor pool, a good size. Some problems sorting out troublesome thermostat but once caretaker had intervened the cottage was very warm. Particularly appreciated Christmas tree and decorations provided. Jan 2010
