Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Lovely, spacious cottage in a quiet village. We had a perfect relaxing holiday, walking, reading, a bottle (or 2!) of wine in front of the wood burner. Sept 2012.
  2. A lovely property, it would enhance it considerably if an upstairs toilet was installed, then it would be perfect. June 2012.
  3. A very roomy, comfortable and homely cottage in a beautiful village with very friendly residents. A very relaxing place. June 2012.
  4. Lovely cottage, next to a quiet pub in a quiet village. April 2012.
  5. Beautiful location, very cosy. A real home from home. The wood burners were a god send as the temperatures plumetted. Very clean. Would loved to have stayed for an additional week, just started to really unwind. Nov 2010.
  6. Nice comfortable cottage. Lovely and warm in a gorgeous little village steeped in history. Larger than most 2 bedroomed rentals (which tend to have rather constricted space). Here the kitchen and two downstairs rooms were pleasant and spacious. It’s the sort of place you can really ’live in’. So if you want something from Vogue it might not be for you; if you want a warm and snug place away from it all it’s magic. Semi detached to a pub but we didn’t find that noisy or intrusive. (Pity there was no real ale but there you go.) Oct 2010.
  7. The size of the cottage was good. The living rooms and bedrooms were of good proprtions. June 2010.
  8. We liked the spaciousness of the dining room and main bedroom. May 2010.
  9. It was warm and comfortable. Oct 2009.
  10. The accommodation was clean and welcoming. Sept 2009.
  11. The house was spotlessly clean and warm and in a beautiful location. July 2009.
  12. Great location for exploring Northumbria with a dog and two small children. July 2009.
  13. The website was very user friendly - easy to book a holiday would definitely use again. Standard of the cottage was excellent. May 2009.
  14. Northumberland is a lovely part of the country with plenty of interesting things to see including lots of historical sites, castles, houses and gardens and lots of walking. Spacious, clean and tidy, smartly/newly decorated. July 2009.
  15. Blue House Cottage is a real home from home - very comfortable accommodation. The cottage was very clean and very cosy for our arrival - there is nothing worse than getting somewhere to find it cold... There is a real wealth of things to do in the area, and we found the info. provided in the cottage very useful for planning our days out. This was our second visit, and I’m sure it won’t be our last! April 2009.
  16. The cottage exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place to relax. May 2007.
  17. Everything was just perfect - the cottage, the village, the weather. Peaceful, quiet and sunny! There was loads to do with a toddler and a dog in the area: Kielder Water, Cragside House, Wallington, Alnwick Gardens, not to mention walks around Elsdon village. We had a fantastic time and will be back next year! June 2006.
  18. Beautiful cottage and beautiful countryside. I would definitely stay at Blue House Cottage again if in Northumberland. Nov 2006.
  19. A true home from home. The attention to every detail is great, from cooking utensils and crockery, to local walking guides. There is nothing missing. April 2006.
