Peaceful and tranquil setting

This very cosy detached holiday cottage, all on the ground floor, is situated in a superb location within a tiny hamlet at the head of Glen Lyon. Enjoying a secluded, little disturbed and unspoilt position, the property offers access to one of Scotland’s longest and most attractive glens. Invermearan is steeped in ancient clan history and the surrounding Highland countryside offers a wealth of opportunities for walkers, ornithologists and nature lovers. Salmon fishing can be enjoyed on the Rivers Lyon and Dochart as well as on Loch Tay. Golf and pony trekking can be found nearby. There are numerous Munros within the surrounding area. Shop, pub and restaurant 11 miles.

All on ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. Utility room. 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room included (£30per week September-May). NSH, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Satellite TV. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Freezer. Enclosed lawned garden and furniture. Parking (2 cars). Natural water supply. No smoking.

  16. Fine weather for Munro bagging - we covered 11 hills in 5 days plus a few other minor tops. The fine spring weather brought out the wildlife too. Our bird list from the area included: Ring Ouzels, Raven, Dotterel, Snipe, Curlew, Wheatear, Stonechat, Skylark, Meadow Lark, Meadow Pipit, Capercaillie, Red Grouse, Ptarmigan, Goosander and in the garden: Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Mistle Thrush, Hedge Sparrow, Siskin, Robin, House & Sand Martins, Pied Wagtail and Yellowhammer. April 2009.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
