Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A homely and cosy cottage for 2 which is off the beaten track but close to all the lovely locations on the coast, and is an excellent centre to radiate out from. Could be difficult to find if you arrive after dark because there is no name on the lane or Beehive Cottage sign. Sept 2012.
  2. A pretty little cottage. Very warm and cosy. Spacious with a lovely big bathroom and bedroom upstairs. There is a walk down a steep hill to the cottage and the stairs in the cottage are steep so elderly people may struggle well equipped and presented. It would have been nice to have some tea and coffee and a small bottle of milk there just as a welcome. Towels were provided even though it said bring your own on the website. Overall a fantastic little find. Near to all the north coastal walking. March 2012.
  3. I felt at home the minute I walked in the door and fell in love with the place 30 seconds later. Access to the cottage is down a very steep no vehicular access lane, so take a trolley to unload and pack our car! An incredibly peaceful location. Feb 2012.
  4. Cosy, welcoming cottage in a lovely setting. Feb 2012.
  5. Very cosy little cottage, great location. Perfect for couples with a dog. Lots of walks and only a 10 min walk to Wadebridge. Lovely holiday fantastic. Sept 2011.
  6. Beehive is just as in the online information. We could not have had a better location or holiday cottage. We had a wonderful and relaxed weeks break. Sept 2011.
  7. Great location, quaint and cosy for two. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return to the cottage. Aug 2011.
  8. This was our 4th visit to Beehive cottage. We discovered it about seven years ago. There are just two of us and we like the option of peace, and a large bed on our holidays. Beehive cottage fits the bill. Its in a very quiet location with a lovely outlook from the terraced back garden. It’s a rustic old one bed cottage in a row of three on a steep path. Only about 25 minute walk to the centre of Wadevridge. The only issue for us was that it’s a little dark over the path at the front now because the hedgerow and trees are in need of some husbandry. However, this is a small negative, easily rectified. A great base for Cornish holidays. We’ll be back. July 2011.
  9. The cottage is an excellent little haven filled with character to compliment it’s location. It is ideally suited for local amenities and is central to nearby towns for all that is needed. The cottage is ideal for small pets. Highly recommended for all persons looking to get away from the hustle of a busy town. June 2011.
  10. Excellent accommodation but the TV needs to be updated. Overall great place to have a quiet holiday. May 2011.
  11. It is an ideal location to be based to visit the north coast of cornwall. Wadebridge is close by for tesco and other amentites. Sept 2010.
  12. The cottage was, in one word, idyllic. The blurb on the website was accurate and almost didn’t do justice to the quality of the accommodation, the degree to which it was furnished, equipped and laid out. In all, it was perfect, which is rare to say the least! July 2010.
  13. We liked the location and peacefulness of this cottage and it felt really homely with all the gizmos and gadgets we needed - sometimes we end up having to buy certain things because they are not present, but not in this one which was really nice. July 2010.
  14. Liked the cleanliness and it was very cosy. The big double bed was especially good. May 2010.
  15. Being traditional - the open fire & Rayburn were amazing. Feb 2010.
  16. It was exactly as described - a gem of a cottage in such a quiet spot yet close to all the facilities needed. It was everything a country cottage should be. Nov 2009.
  17. The Reyburn in the mornings (lovely). The garden was great to sit out in the afternoon, and had splendid views. It was a pretty garden and well maintained. Oct 2009.
  18. A really nice traditional cottage. Aug 2009.
  19. This was the perfect cottage for our relaxing Cornwall break; quaint, full of charm and very peaceful. St. Breock was the perfect place to tour Cornwall, with even the far south of the county just over an hour away. We were disappointed to have to leave and hope to return soon. I have already recommended it to friends! March 2009.
  20. The Cottage and area was perfect. very peaceful and in a good location. It would probably help future guests if there was a sign that says ’Beehive cottage’ as the cottage is attached to another cottage which is called ’Lark Rise’. Apart from that we couldn’t fault the accommodation or our holiday. We had a lovely time. March 2009.
