Property Description

These two apartments (refs 26997 and 26998) are situated in a courtyard, centrally located in the village of Llangadog (a designated Heritage area) in the Towy Valley and are part of a former Victorian shop. This is a superb central location for accessing wild Wales and its coast (both south and west boasts a choice of all types of beaches), its mountains (Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains), many areas of historical interest (Iron Age, Roman forts and array of ancient castles) and horticultural attractions (National Botanical Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Garden and Golden Grove Arboretum). It is a popular area for ramblers (with a local footpath taking you past the Prince of Wales’ Welsh retreat), mountain and road cyclists, fishermen (lake and river), birdwatchers and general tourers. It is also within reach of the Royal Welsh Showground, Hay Book Festival, Llandeilo Music Festival, Small Nations Festival and Yr Wyl Fawr. Llangadog is served by the Heart of Wales line, train station 1 mile, and there are many local bus routes. Shop, pub and restaurant 10 yards.

  1. The apartment is in a quiet village on the edge of the picturesque national park. It is well kept & the owners who live on site offer a great welcome with a lovely pack to start you off. The property is spacious with a seemingly new kitchen, good size lounge & bedrooms. There are a number of places to visit nearby, with the owners always on hand to offer advice. June 2012.
  2. We had a lovely welcome from the owner of the cottage, I couldnt believe how generous she was with the welcome pack as we were only staying for two nights! The location was lovely as it was at the end of the village square, there is a lovely local butcher who sells gorgeous pies, there’s a local Mace shop and a newsagents/post office. A choice of 2 pubs and 2 restaurant, I recommend the Goose and Cuckoo to eat, very warm welcome and excellent food, the Black Lion pub is next door to the restaurant and again received a very warm welcome from the friendly locals - so much so, I have been back to visit since! Feb 2012.
