Glen Urquhart

Bearnock House

| Ref: SGGN
Grade 0 Star rating

Enjoying an elevated position and spectacular views across Glen Urquhart, Bearnock Country House offers spacious, beautifully presented holiday accommodation in a lovely peaceful setting. This is the perfect base for exploring the wonders of Glen Affric, The Great Glen Way, Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. Visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shores of the loch – floodlit at night, one can only imagine its former splendour. The Official Loch Ness Monster Exhibition in nearby Drumnadrochit offers eyewitness accounts of sightings as well as details of research projects carried out over the years. Exhilarating walking and mountain biking is available in the many forest trails of the glens or visitors can seek out the sights and many amenities of Inverness, the Highland capital.
Day trips can be taken to the magical Isle of Skye and on the way it is possible to admire the Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range and the romantic Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. Fort William, the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’ is within easy reach as is the beautiful Moray Coast where dolphins can be watched frolicking in the Firth.
