Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The garden is a real gem and worth while just sitting there on a sunny day, good restaurant nearby and lovely sandy beach only a mile away. Isle of Whithorn worth a visit steampacket in good there and if you time it right you can have something to eat perhaps a drink and watch the incoming tide float the little yachts in the harbour lovely on a nice day. Lots of places to visit in the area. July 2012.
  2. This was just what we were looking for a relaxing get away, lovely cottage with beautiful coastal views. Alice made us feel very welcome, her welcome tray of goodies was very much appreciated, I would certainly book again. April 2012.
  3. Lovely cottage in a quiet village, perfect for escaping for a week. Great base for exploring this part of Scotland. March 2012.
  4. Home from home with lovely extras. Grassed area great for the dog. Bigger than photos show. Feb 2012.
  5. A fantastically situated cottage for exploring the Galloway area. Our welcome tray on arrival was very much appreciated and exceedingly thoughtful. Sept 2011.
  6. Ideal property as a base to tour the beautiful and picturesque area of the country. The accommodation is quaint and comfortable. The owners live next door but do not interfere and are handy to address any issues you may have.......the welcoming tray is above and beyond. An excellent place to get away from the stresses of modern life, to revisit family values and take much needed exercise for the family and the dog. Oct 2011.
  7. Property was spotless, really comfortable. Welcome tray was excellent & really thoughtful. Quaint village with really friendly people. Would certainly consider going again & probably will. Oct 2011.
  8. Great place for a peaceful holiday. Loads of places to visit. Welcome tray was five star. Aug 2011.
  9. This cottage was well equipped. The owners, who lived next door, were delightful - provided us with home baked scones, cakes and vases of flowers. The garden was beautiful - shared with the owners but this was not a problem. The village is quiet but amazingly friendly. There are a limited number of things to do in the area - might be a problem if the weather is bad. Dogs are welcomed in the cottage but they cannot be exercised in the garden - there is a large field across the road to the cottage so this was not a problem. Local beaches are stoney - not ideal for children. Sandy beaches are a short drive away. July 2011.
  10. Lovely cottage and garden fantastic, right by the sea. May 2011.
  11. Fantastic holiday - relaxed as soon as a chocolate brownie hit my mouth. The cottage is like your home, the locals were lovely. The best holiday we’ve had for ages, thank you. April 2011.
  12. Spotlessly clean and warm. Owner very pleasant and welcoming, showed us around and where things were etc. God Weilling we will certainly go again. Oct 2010.
  13. Comfortable very homely everything you need lot of care has been taken to make it that way. Sept 2010.
  14. The cottage was spacious with a very large beautiful garden. There was a park opposite the front door where our dog could be exercised. Sept 2010.
  15. A comfortable and welcoming cottage. All the amenities were exactly as described and the welcome tray of scones and tea/coffee was much appreciated. Owners Dave and April were friendly and helpful, and their garden is spectacular. Our dogs loved the proximity to the shore and the surrounding countryside. We hope to see Dave and April again in the future. Sept 2010.
  16. Very nice cottage, garden was amazing and loved looking at the sea view every morning. Enjoyed our time there there very much. Aug 2010.
  17. Excellent spacious property with an outstanding garden area. June 2010.
  18. The owners were particularly friendly and very welcoming. The cottage exceeded our expectations. The garden was exceptional, the photos do not do it full justice. May 2010.
  19. Beach Cottage is in a superb location - we loved the sea views and the playground outside our front door. The warmth of the welcome was outstanding, and Port William is a very friendly place - a bit 1950s / Enid Blyton, really. Perfect for kids. The cottage itself isn’t centrally heated, and we stayed during some cold weather, but that didn’t matter - we had a great time. Feb 2010.
  20. Well equipped, beautiful, safe and secure garden for our dogs, lovely welcome tray with home baking, most of tourist information was out of date but many visitors had left information on places to eat. Feb 2010.
