Enjoying amazing views, in an elevated position adjoining the owner’s farmhouse, this delightful holiday cottage is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Duddon Valley with swimming in the river at Ulpha Bridge. Set in the peace and tranquillity of the Lake District National Park, wonderful walking and climbing are in the immediate vicinity, whilst a short drive takes visitors to Lake Windermere or Coniston Water. An ideal retreat for that ’get away from it all’ holiday. Shop 1 mile, pub 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Central heating (controlled by owner), electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Microwave. Use of owner’s washing machine by arrangement. Use of owner’s freezer if required. Garden and furniture. Parking (2 cars). Natural water supply from borehole.

  1. A part of the lake district without any lakes in view, but still absolutely idylic. This was a lovely place to spend an anniversary break in and meant that we saw an area of Cumbria that we were not familiar with as it is away from the usual tourist haunts. Peace and quiet.   4. Beautiful and peaceful location, great to walk from if you are able, and a good base for exploring the western valleys of the Lake District. Perfect for couples for a get away break, and all you need in the cottage for comfort (unless you want a bath!).. but an excellent shower. May 2011.
  5. A fantastic ’get away’. Owners around if needed but totally left us to it. Private parking space and garden area. Amazing views. Lovely little cottage with everything you could need. Brilliant reclining sofa after a long walk! Real retreat as quite a way off the beaten track but close enough to both Southern and Western lakes to make it an ideal location for exploring. Highly recommended. March 2011.

  9. It was part of the main farmhouse, but separate door, small garden and place to park. It felt like a cottage on it’s own, without being abandoned in the hills. The cottage itself was clean, nicely presented and had all the bits and pieces you might need. July 2010.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
