A great holiday location being close to the magnificent sandy beach, pretty harbour, good pubs and restaurants and the Snowdonia Mountain views beyond. Spacious and light throughout it has the advantage of an attractive patio garden perfect for dining al fresco. Discover nearby hill and mountain paths leading up to the stunning Mawddach Estuary described as one of the ’most sublime views in Europe’. Enjoy famous castles, restaurants, golf courses, sea fishing, boat trips and highland railways. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.25 miles.

  1. Barreg is like a home from home, we have visited here on a few occasions now and will return again. Sept 2012.

Barreg is situated near the seaside town of Barmouth which is a five minute walk from to the town and the same to the beach, there are many places to visit which are in easy reach by car, if you have young children there are many things to do for them, the town has a small fair that caters for all ages and the beach has donkeys etc, you can also get a boat across the bay to Fairbourne where you can get a mini steam train ride , and there are also pubs and restaurants where you can get a nice meal, there are also fishing trips for those that like that sort of thing. The owners of Barreg also live next door and are always welcoming and helpful. We have been going there now for several years and always love our stay and never tire of things to do. Aug 2012.
  3. The property is clean, spacious. It is in an excellent location. The landlord is friendly and helpful. We would recommend it to our friends, and would go back when we have a big family gathering again in the future. June 2012.

The property is very close to Barmouth town centre with all kinds of shops for everyones taste, the beach is also a short walk away about 5 minutes which is great when you have a dog that loves the sea, there also some great walks across Barmouth bridge and up in the mountains. This is the best holiday home we have stayed in and this was the fifth time we have stayed here, the owners live next door and they so lovely and welcoming, we will definitely be going again.See you soon. It is a lovely spacious house, light and airy close to all amenities, beach is within five mins walk from the house,also five mins walk from the seaside town of Barmouth, the house and area cater for families and it is just nice to return year after year and still find new things to do and new places to visit.   9. Wow what a house, we have been to BARREG many times because it so lovely and the fact you can take your dog and there is not many places you can take your pet to that is so clean and tidy and the owners are so welcoming that they make your holiday to 10/10 in my books. June 2011.
  10. We booked the cottage for a "special" birthday treat - bringing together 6 of us with a dog. The house was in the perfect location for access to the beach, trips into town and local amenities. The house exceeded our expectations; being spacious, well equipped and a home from home. Would have no hesitation recommending. May 2011.

  12. Barreg was an extremely comfortable, well equipped and spacious accommodation in a great location only a 5 minute walk from the beach or Barmouth centre. The surrounding countryside was spectacular and the location very quiet. We had a great time with our young children and would certainly visit again. April 2011.
  13. The beach is literally 5 mins walk over the railway bridge, fantastic long stretch of sand. The pictures on the internet of Barmouth do no do it justice. Food good in the Last Inn although quite expensive, Davey Jones Locker’s Depth Charge (coffee and choc) is a must, and the portions are large and reasonable. Property comfortable and has all that is required set in a quiet cul de sac opposite a play area, parking is tight but the owners have bollards to keep your space. April 2011.

  20. Armadale house was beautifully furnished. There were so many thoughtful treats to gladden the eye, all geared to guarantee maximum comfort for the traveller. The views were absolutely stunning and the Portmahomack villagers were hospitable and really welcoming. The proximity of the local pub was a godsend! To sum up, it was a pleasure being in such a stylish cottage in such an atmospheric setting. It’s difficult to think of anything that the owners omitted in ensuring comfort for their guests. For us city-dwellers, it was the perfect half-term break away from it all! Oct 2009.
