These twelve charming holiday cottages (MQO, P, Q, R, S & T, MRJ, MRK, MTA, MVK, MVL and MVM) are set in a beautiful small development of traditional farmhouse and barn conversions close to the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the Northumbrian Heritage Coastline. Set in some 35 acres of peaceful and tranquil surroundings, the grounds are a mix of woodland with wildlife in abundance, courtyards, lawns and a traditional theme of Northumbrian Heritage throughout.
Guyzance dates back to 1242 and is a small hamlet located south east of Alnwick on the River Coquet amidst picturesque open countryside, yet close to all the main visitor attractions in the county. Warkworth is only 3 miles away with its hillside castle, charming small shops, pubs and river walks, while Amble, 5 miles, is a very friendly fishing port with a bustling working harbour and a new marina. Boat trips can be taken to the nearby RSPB reserve at Coquet Island. Alnwick with its mighty medieval fortress of Alnwick Castle - one of the finest in Europe and stage set for Harry Potter and Braveheart - is set in stunning landscape. The cottages offer fittings of a very good standard and the décor is tasteful throughout each one. Each cottage is different yet each has its own sitting-out area with a barbecue to relax in after a day exploring the beautiful unspoilt coastline and areas surrounding this skilfully designed and tasteful setting. Newcastle city centre with its fine galleries, Centre of Life, Sage Centre, theatres and regenerated quayside area is only 30 miles away. The Metro Centre is only 30 miles distant. Shops and pubs 3 miles.

  10. We arrived late at the cottage in the dark of winter and so we were grateful that the lights were left on and the heating was on full blast - it was very welcoming. The cottage was very clean and had all the facilities that we required for a long weekend. The surrounding area is nice and quiet but it was only a short drive to Alnwick and also the beaches at the coast. Dec 2009.

Customers of cottages4you, aged 21 or over, who find a Lucky Ted in their holiday cottage between 25th March and 31st July , can enter the Competition by submitting a photo of Lucky Ted on his UK holiday. Photos can be submitted by the methods detailed at www.facebook.com/cottages4you or for those not on Facebook please email facebook@cottages4you.co.uk.
    • 3. The Competition opens at 09.00 GMT on 25/03/2013 and closes on 31/07/2013 at 23.59 GMT. Entries received after this time and date will not be accepted. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
    • 4. Lucky Ted must be photographed enjoying any aspect of a UK holiday. Finders may keep Lucky Ted or leave him in the property for the next lucky finders.
    • 5. Only photos clearly depicting an original Lucky Ted wearing his cottages4you tee-shirt will be accepted. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of any subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.
    • 6. Entrants must confirm their booking reference number and cottage reference or name when submitting entries and can enter as many different photos showing Lucky Ted as they wish.
    • 7. We reserve the right to provide alternative monthly prizes of similar value should they become unavailable for any reason.
    • 8. The Competition is open to residents of Great Britain aged 21 years or over. Employees of Wyndham Worldwide and its group of companies, including cottages4you, their agents, owners of cottages and families are not permitted to enter.
    • 9. Monthly Winners will be selected by public vote via Facebook. The public will be invited to choose their favourite photo by voting for it . They will be asked to base their choice on which photo they think best shows Lucky Ted enjoying a UK holiday moment. The photo with the most votes at the end of each month will win the Monthly Prize. The next four most popular photos will be the Runners Up and will each win an Amazon gift voucher as described.
    • 10. The 4 Monthly Winners will be entered into a final phase of voting in September of which there will be one Grand Winner who will be have received the most votes during this month for their photo.
