Property Description

This characterful, comfortable Victorian holiday farmhouse is set in formal gardens on the owner’s quiet arable farm and has been refurbished to a good standard. It has a conservatory with table tennis, snooker table and a play area with toys. It is very secluded, and has a fishing pond, and walks to the marsh. For antique hunters towns such as Alford, Horncastle and Newark are a must. The coast at Skegness is within a 20 minute drive or Mablethorpe with its seal sanctuary just 40 minutes or perhaps follow the WW ll Bomber Trail with the area steeped in aviation history. There are castles, country houses, windmills and market towns to explore. Within easy drive are the market towns of Louth and Boston and the cathedral city of Lincoln. The perfect base for walking or just relaxing. Boston 10 miles. Skegness 20 minute drive and Mablethorpe 40 minute drive. Restaurant 1/2 mile. Shop and pub 1½ miles.

  6. Lovely spacious property and grounds. Driveway lined with lovely cherry trees - we went in mid July and ate some - delicious. Peaceful and calm surroundings - you just have to look out the living room window to see rabbits, pheasants, and all sorts of birds. Plus there are geese, ducks and hens that live close by as the house is in the grounds of a working arable farm. Plenty for kids to do nearby - as well as the nursery room with toys and games plus a games room with pool and table tennis in the house itself! Great holiday and would go back. July 2011.

  14. A very beautiful house with lovely surroundings. The house has been tastefully decorated whilst still making the house feel like you were @ home. We loved the aga in the kitchen, the bedrooms were enormous & we all had a fantastic time & made some fantastic memories there. We have recommended the property to other friends. April 2010.
