This spacious and pleasantly furnished property is situated in 20 acres of gardens and wooded grounds and is part of a 900 acre estate. It is one mile from the village of Ford, at the south western end of Loch Awe in the Kilmartin Glen which is rich in historical and archaeological sites and has some excellent restaurants. Explore the ruins of Carnassarie Castle, or fish in Loch Awe. Oban is the ferry terminal for day trips to Mull, Coll and Tiree or travel south towards Lochgilphead. Stabling for one horse available on request depending on availability. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Home from home with everything you could need, great heating, and puzzles galore next to the open fire for an old fashioned family evening in. Grounds excellent and never ending, caretaker always available when needed. Location away from it all, peace and tranquillity but still only 20mins from a small town and supermarket. Feb 2011.

The family portraits, family trees and library added to the interest of the house. The house was well maintained and homely enough so as not to stress about kids and dogs making the place untidy.
