This refurbished former weavers cottage is situated within NT land and an AONB, with stunning views across the Nailsworth valley, ideally located for a holiday walking, cycling and exploring. Golf and numerous Cotswold towns and villages locally. Stroud 4 miles, Nailsworth and Minchinhampton 2 miles, Cheltenham 12 miles, Badminton 13 miles. Shop 800 yards, pubs 500 yards.

Ground floor: Shower room with toilet. Steep, spiral stairs to first floor: Living room with sofa bed. Dining room/kitchen with flagstone floor. Spiral stairs to second floor: 1 double bedroom with Velux and low ceiling. Beams throughout.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Video and small library. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Small gravelled sitting-out area and furniture. No smoking. NB: No children over 9 months due to steep staircases.

  8. Athelstan cottage was in a very pretty and quiet village, with wonderful views from almost every window. It was warm and welcoming and the village was friendly. As stated in the brochure, it would not be suitable for children, the infirm or very creaky! The Black Horse pub and the Old Lodge are to be recommended. Sept 2010.

  14. Owner very friendly and helpful. Cottage was absoloutely lovely - even better than in the photos. Very steep stairs, but very cosy. It snowed on the day we left and the owner came round to check that we would be ok getting home, which was appreciated. We plan to come again as there are lots of national trust properties nearby and great country walks. A wonderful few days. Black horse pub nearby was very nice. Jan 2009.

  19. This was a delightful cottage and totally unique! Our small Westie loved the spiral staircases and the long walks available from our doorstep. The surrounding pubs were friendly and served fantastic home cooking. We only had a weekend away however we were so relaxed it felt like a week. Thank you! April 2007.
  20. The cottage was excellent, in stunning location. The local pub (black horse) was friendly and serves excellent meals. The owner of the cottage greeted us on arrival and ensured we had plenty of information to enable us to enjoy our holiday to the full.We had a great time. May 2007.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
