Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. For a large party of friends and family, this is an excellent location, flexible charming accommodation with excellent cooking facilities. Bathrooms all have to be shared so don’t expect hotel privacy. With good walks to the local pub and within easy striking distance of Dartmoor, the coast and Dartmouth, it is good for a mixture of age groups. It is Devon, so wellies (some are provided) and water proofs are recommended. We were there for Xmas and it was delightful despite the driving rain and I can easily see this being a lovely spot all year round. Dec 2012.
  2. This was a lovely house with a great garden and tennis court and walks over fields and through woods. It worked well having a very warm fire in the sitting room and separate TV and games rooms so everyone was happy. It’s an old cottage with lots of atmosphere but you need to be prepared to share bathrooms. Dec 2011.
  3. A fantastic place to stay for a large gathering. The house is spacious with all amenities and coupled with the outside space offers something for everyone. Our party ranged from three and a half to sixty four, yet the whole family enjoyed their stay. Will definately be going back. May 2011.
  4. Wonderful rambling property that felt like home as soon as we had explored its many hidden treasures. Great place to escape with a large group of family and friends. Nov 2010.
  5. Incredibly spacious. Very cosy. March 2010.
  6. For our party of eight adults, and six children/young people it had all the necessary amenities. The billiard room, in a winter booking was especially favoured. The new kitchen was superb, and enabled the men to show their skills to the women. The two televisions enabled some to view DVDs, and others to play WII. An excellent week together! Dec 2009.
  7. Excellent property - very characterful. We had a problem with the heating but the owner was extremely helpful in sorting it out. Definitely recommended. May 2009.
  8. Absolutely perfect for large family party. We explored, caught trout in lake, canoed, played tennis, had fabulous meals, loved the house, felt very comfortable and at home. Memorable. July 2008.
  9. We had the most wonderful time, the farmhouse was fantastic, charming and very picturesque. We couldn’t believe how fantastic the whole place was. We all felt like the Lords and Ladies of the Manor. The owner turned up whilst we were there doing a murder mystery so was met by a load of people dressed up in funny gear. He couldn’t have been nicer, very pleasant and easy to talk to and made us all feel very much at home. Aug 2007.
  10. There are wonderful things to do on site - walking, tennis, pottering in the boat on the lake - the children were very happy (ages 16 - 2 yrs). April 2007.
