Known as the Mortimer Country, this area with its rolling hills and valleys, lies between Ludlow and the Welsh border and is rich in historical association with its many ancient churches and castles. This would make a perfect holiday base for those interested in music and literature as there are several local, internationally renowned festivals held annually. The beautiful countryside offers a wide range of activities from walking, cycling, horse riding and bird and wildlife watching. Shop and restaurant 450 yards, pub with food 200 yards.

  7. Ashley is the best property we have stayed in, we fell in love with it and the area. All the rooms are big especially the kitchen, all the bedrooms are of double size + and the beds are comfortable, we hope to go back again in the near future, there is everything you need and more, I could not fault anything about the bungalow and I am a fussy person regarding hygiene, comfort etc, the enclosed large garden was ideal for our 2 cavaliers, it is in a beautiful quiet location, within easy reach of so many places and the scenery is fantastic. The shops in Leominster are in easy reach with a Morrison’s just on the outskirt of the town.There are two pubs in the village we did not try them as they do not allow dogs inside which we found to be the norm in the area. I would recommend Ashley to people of all ages who want a peaceful holiday as you can do as much or as little as you like. Oct 2011.

  13. Great layout. Good flow. Excellent facilities within. All crockery/cooking utensils provided. Great TV’s in lounge and 2 bedrooms. Excellent gardens for the dogs.....big and all fenced in. It seems that the owner had "gone the extra mile". It was the third time we had stayed here, and the latest improvements have made it even nicer to stay here! Mar 2010.

  16. This accommodation was great. There is a short walk to the local shop/tearoom, 2 pub/resturant, a park and church. It is a short drive to Ludlow, Leominster, Hereford and Kington, and lots of other little villages. Would definitely go again. Aug 2009.
