The delightful seaside village of Combe Martin is home to Ashley Cottage. This stone built, semi-detached holiday cottage is a short walk from the sea front and makes for an ideal destination for anyone wanting to come and enjoy this stunning part of North Devon. The cottage is located on the high street and has the beach and most of the local amenities all on its doorstep. With plenty of rock pools and cliffs there will be a variety of things to discover during your stay. Combe Martin has the longest high street in the UK and has most amenities, with local shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. A wider selection of shops and amenities, along with is harbour, tunnel beaches and the Statue of Verity can be found at Ilfracombe. There are numerous attractions within easy reach of the house including the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth cliff railway. At Croyde and Woolacombe, you will find some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country as well as many smaller coves and bays. For those wanting some challenging yet rewarding walking, you can also pick up the South West Coast Path from the village. Exmoor is a short distance away and offers its own varied and dramatic landscape. On clear days, the views can be spectacular from some of the high ground. The National Trust has properties at Arlington and Knightshayes and at Great Torrington, guests will find the Dartington Crystal factory and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor. Beach 500 yards. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
