  6. A really good cottage for anyone who is interested in local historic houses, castles and gardens, (NT and/or HHA) as it is so central and has easy access to motorways and trunk roads if you want to travel a little further afield quickly. There are also plenty of really good museums nearby if the weather isn’t great. Fortunately, we were very lucky. One of our best holidays with your company! June 2011.

  13. The week that I spent at Ash Cottage was superb! The property was just as described and the owners of the cottage are so very friendly and helpful. I even had a fresh new map of the area purchased for me by them! The cottage was cozy, warm, and had everything that I could possibly need. The location is excellent but you will need a car to explore as bus service is sporadic. I loved this place, the area, and the "landlords" and would definitely stay there again! Oct 2007.
