Property Description

This pretty detached single-storey stone barn conversion sits in the grounds of the owner’s home. Delightfully converted, the barn has all the comforts of home and is ideally located for visiting the many corners of West Cornwall. Ash Barn is set in a secluded garden in the lovely hamlet of Lower Grumbla, Sancreed, with its ancient church, and a short drive leads to sandy beaches and coves. Nearby Penzance offers a variety of activities including museums, art galleries, boat trips, fishing, restaurants, bars and shops. The spectacular St Michael’s Mount and nearby fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole are well worth a visit.

  2. Great little cottage down a long windy country lane surrounded by beautiful countryside, peaceful, relaxing and feels miles away from it all. Comfortable, clean and well presented it is a great place to stay with a friendly welcome. Lots to do in the area, both immediately and a small drive away and easy to get to from the cottage. Perfect holiday home for south Cornwall. June 2012.

I am being very picky when I say that it is right on a road, a very narrow one at that, that us townies are not used, so it doesn’t or shouldn’t really feature in the scheme of things.   4. The garden is truly enclosed, which meant we could allow our dog in it unsupervised. This is important as we have rented properties in the past with the description ’enclosed’ garden and in reality the garden has a fence but is not secure for dogs. This was exactly as described and we had a great holiday. Dec 2011.
