Take a walk from the doorstep onto one of the oldest drove roads in Angus, the historic Cadgers Road, a route taking you across open countryside and mixed woodland. In the heart of golf country, the nearest course is Brechin, 3 miles, Letham Grange, 5 miles, and Montrose, 10 miles away. Angus has so much to offer from country parks to museums and child friendly restaurants. Fishing is available on the River South Esk, 3 miles. Within easy reach are sandy beaches at Lunan Bay, Arbroath and Montrose, Glamis Castle, the House of Dun (NTS) and the Montrose Basin Nature Reserve, 10 miles, while further afield take a day out to explore the Cairngorm National Park. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
