Further afield lies La Baule, one of the most sought after resorts on the Atlantic coast with lovely beaches and elegant villas, and an excellent choice of shops or just sit and watch the world go by in one of the pavement cafés.

Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Really beautiful property with everything we needed and property itself certainly exceeded expectations but in terms of Anetz there are no facilities in the evening in the village for dining or even a quiet drink therefore had to drive 6k to the nearest town Also tiny shop in the village only reopened after summer closure part way through holiday. Extremely quiet location and therefore Very reliant on car. Aug 2012.
  2. A charming gite with excellent facilities. The owners were very welcoming and helpful about local ameneties. The garden, with patio furniture was completely secure for children or dogs and had shade for the hot days. The village has a bakery, post office and charcuterie but the bar was never open. Sept 2011.
  3. We had a warm welcome:we were allowed in the cottage earlier than the usual 4 o’clock and a basket with wine, bread and home made jam as well as a charming vase of flowers from the owners’garden awaited us. Monsieur and Madame Giraudet were very helpful and took time to give us information about the region, its wines and its attractions. Anetz and its surroundings are full of history: there is plenty to see and visit. One week is not enough. July 2011.
  4. Well presented, good location. Sept 2010.
  5. We wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday and got it. Great place - you need a car to get to the nearest main town about 5 to 10 minute drive - with plenty to see and do in the area. Aug 2010.
  6. The gite was very well resourced, with a large fridge/freezer, a full cooker, microwave, toaster etc. The DVD worked well and there was a washing machine, although we didn’t use it. There was a plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and glasses as well as pots & pans and oven to tableware. The furniture was very comfortable and, with 4 adults, there was plenty of space to find some quiet. The gite is only about 100m from the river Loire and there are a number of very pleasant walks that can be taken from the gite itself. Unfortunately, we stayed there at the beginning of August, which meant that the local bar and bakery was closed for the Annual Holiday, although Ancenis was only 3Km from the gite and had a good town and fantastic market on Thursday. July 2010.
  7. Property contained everything needed, was clean and in excellent condition. July 2010.
  8. This house was probably the best we have ever stayed in. April 2010.
  9. Spacious well-planned accommodation, especially the well-equipped shower room. The private enclosed garden area - safe for children or dogs. The only negative was the 4’6" double bed which we found a bit crowded and we are slimmer than average. Oct 2009.
  10. The property had everything you would require and was spotlessly clean. Sept 2009.
  11. The gite was very pretty and extremely well maintained. Very peaceful and relaxing holiday. Accommodation was excellent. July 2009.
  12. The warm welcome from the owners and the location. Plus the overall comfort. June 2009.
  13. This is a lovely location within walking distance of the River Loire, the village is a real taste of rural France with its own baker! A delightful bonus. This property was absolutely first class, the setting was fantastic with a lovely private little garden and patio; the owners are genuinely hospitable, true gentlefolk. Sep 2008.
  14. We found the owner of the cottage very friendly, helpful with an excellant knowledge of area and history. I would highly recommend the property and hope to return next year. June 2008.
  15. The owners could not have been more helpful or friendly. Highly recommended property. May 2008.
  16. The gite is located at the edge of a very pretty villiage. For anyone who enjoys trains the railway is about 200 metres away across the fields and on an embankment beside the Loire with the station about 10 minutes drive away. For us this was an added attraction as we watched everything from the little local train to the Express and the impressive TGV tavelling from Paris to Nantes. Sep 2007.
