Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Really super house, great views, very comfortable. Just a small point but could of done with a welcome pack of milk, bread just a few essentials. May 2012.
  2. Anchor Cottage is one of the highest standard self catering properties I have ever stayed in. The quality of the finish is superb and the equipment is all of a top order , especially the kitchen where no expense has been spared. The location right on the harbour front is superb, we used it as a base for a kayak fishing holiday and it was right next to the slipway , what more could we want. The utility room also comes in handy for this type of vacation as you have somewhere handy to put your wet clothing , suits, botts etc. Would definitely go back and is highly recommended to others. March 2012.
  3. The location of this cottage cannot be surpassed. Comfortably furnished with everything you could want. This was our second visit - I’m sure we will be back again. Oct 2011.
  4. Anchor Cottage is the perfect house for a relaxing break - extremely well equipped kitchen, nice and warm house, tasteful decor and all in all exceeded our expectations - friends of ours have already booked on our recommendation! Sept 2011.
  5. Wonderful well appointed cottage, with all modern facilities for everyone. located in stunning scenery, fantastic walks from doorstep for various abilities, plenty for families who enjoy outdoor splodging, crabbing, swimming, boogie boarding, walking and cycling as well as non families. Lots of great local history, castles, forts, all close by in amazing scenery and all in superb condition. We dont think you could do better for a family holiday than booking anchor cottage, this was our 4th visit and we intend to stay again. money well spent. Aug 2011.
  6. Faultless and by far the best place we have ever stayed in. June 2011.
  7. Home from home, very comfortable, fantastic views. Oct 2010.
  8. Beautiful location. Very high standard of facilities and decor of house. June 2010.
  9. Absolutely outstanding, the best property we have ever stayed in. A real treasure. June 2010.
  10. The cottage was very tastefully decorated and very well equipped, home from home. The view from the cottage was stunning. We will hopefully return one day. Oct 2009.
  11. We liked everything (so did the children and dogs). We enjoyed the wine left for us. The house was warm, the equipment easy to use, and the flooring made it easy to clean. We could have just sat and admired the view if the weather had been worse. The outside looked severe on the photograph - we thought it would be old fashioned. Even though there was no mobile phone reception there was a pay phone for emergencies. We did not meet the caretaker or owner but we had no problems so had no need to call. Sept 2009.
  12. Lovely safe location for families with small children. Good walks for the energetic. June 2009.
  13. The house is beautiful, comfortable. It has fabulous views out to sea from nearly every window. The local area is stunning & peaceful with lots of things to see and do if you can drag yourself out of the house where the whole day could be spent watching the sea go by and be fascinated by the "up close" wildlife. Feb 2009.
