It is close to a leisure lake, with sandy beach, swimming, café and picnic area. Only a few steps away are the village shop, bar and restaurant, serving local produce. Ideal base for exploring the Dordogne Valley, medieval towns and villages, and the vineyards of this corner of France.

Location: 300m from Lanquais (castle, leisure lake, beach), 500m from Shops and restaurant, 3km from horse riding, 4km from Faux and Cause (golf), 8km SW of Lalinde (river town River Dordogne), 12km E of Bergerac (historic town), 15km from Eymet (bastide town).

  2. Quiet location however excellent for exploring the Dordogne, a car would be needed, local shop not that brilliant, cottage lovely, owner very pleasant. April 2011.
  3. Alienor is a typical French house of the region. It is situated in a pretty village which is quiet and just right for a relaxing holiday. The owner is extremely helpful and has provided us with wonderful tasty jams and marmalades that last us throughout our stay. We have stayed at the cottage two years in a row, and will return again soon. Sept 2010.
  4. The property is very characteristic for the area, quaint & old fashioned. Many personal items around the house. Lovely big mature garden. July 2010.

  6. Situation was excellent for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Lovely village with good restaurant. House was traditional perigordian with large garden complete with walnut and fruit trees. Plenty space for children. The adjacent barn contained some indoor games in case of wet weather. Despite the next door school being open on our holiday there was very little noise or disturbance. Good central location for exploring the Dordogne region. Oct 2009.
  7. Lovely bright and airy property in a nice quiet village, with good local facilities, in an area packed with interesting places to visit - we only touched on all the possibilities, so well worth returning for another holiday! Sept 2009.

  11. Alienor is set in a beautifully quiet village. Its spacious and has a somewhat rustic french charm about it, befitting its surroundings. The property is furnished in keeping with the style of the house which in our minds made it even more welcoming, and with the added addition of fresh flowers by Mme Marty just gave it the finishing touch. We spent two restful and relaxing weeks and will certainly return in the near future. Sept 2009.
  12. On arrival we were greeted by the owner, she left flowers and water and was contactable if we required anything else, we couldn’t have asked for more. June 2008.
