  1. This is the best cottage we have stayed in. Perfect for a really relaxing get away and also ideally placed form exploring near and far. Micheal is an excellent host and you couldn’t ask for more. The courtyard garden is just lovely and the birds are entertaining. We also enjoyed the eggs from the three hens at the front of the house. Sept 2012.
  2. A beautiful property. A well designed apartment which was well furnished. A good centre for visiting the many places of interest around the area. The host was tremendous - a pleasure to talk to. July 2012.
  3. The owners had thought of everything; a lovely welcome pack to get you started. Lovely, quiet location, well positioned for touring county Cork and Kerry. May 2012.
  4. A lovely property with a fantastic welcome. The cheese scones, local eggs, bacon and sausage were all very much appreciated! A super base for exploring south west Ireland and Cork city, but remote enough to enjoy the peace and tranquility. March 2012.
  5. A wonderful welcome to a superbly located setting. The cottage was well equipped and stocked with maps, guides etc as well as DVDs and games for rainy days! There is plenty to see and do in the area and the scenery is breathtaking. Aug 2011.
  6. Very stylish, comfortable, great to come back to at the end of a day touring round the beautiful countryside. Owners so friendly and welcoming, the food and wine gift we were given on our arrival was greatly appreciated. Our fresh eggs were replenished during the week and we were given lots of helpful advice about where to visit and local tips too! We will certainly be returning to Ireland and hopefully to this little gem of a property. Aug 2011.
  7. Many thanks to Michael and Catherine, they were superb hosts and the welcome pack was unexpected but very much appreciated. Aug 2011.
  8. This place is a little Gem. It has everything your could want for a comfortable stay, with extras, the welcome food pack was exceptional, Michael and Catherine, have thought of everything you might need and provided it. The setting is quite rural, I wish I had brought a bike to use to get out and about, when my husband used the car to go fishing. However, it was loveley just to sit outside and listen to the hens clucking, and to find freshly laid eggs "On the doorstep" every few days, as if by magic. I would recommend this place for a relaxing holiday. July 2011.
  9. Made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. A very helpful welcome pack including fresh eggs from the owners’ hens, and lots of literature and maps available to help with planning trips out whatever the weather! June 2011.
  10. We were made to feel at home on arrival with a super welcome pack including home made scones, freshly laid eggs, and breakfast bits in fridge. Everything we needed was at hand including fresh eggs from the chickens in the garden. The cottage is well deserved of its 4* rating. Things not to miss include the gap of dunloe tour, the ring of kerry, blarney castle, fota wildlife park, the dingle peninsula including a trip from dingle to see fungi the dolphin and gougane barra. We would definitely recommend and will be visiting Ireland and this cottage again for sure. June 2011.
  11. The hosts, Michael and Catherine gave us a very warm welcome and were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The location of the property is ideal for touring the Cork and Kerry area. The property offers comfortable accommodation and is very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay very much and would strongly recommend. June 2011.
  12. We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived and the "welcome pack" including fresh Hens Eggs was very much appreciated. It is a lovely cottage which is comfortable and well equipped. it is located in very peaceful and beautiful surroundings and is perfect to come back to at the end of a days sightseeing. Sept 2010.
  13. If you want a property for two in rural Ireland that is well situated and quiet, this ground floor studio apartment is it. The owners are very welcoming and the property is beautifully designed and well equipped (Serious self caterers will know to bring their own knives, chopping board, sauté pan and caffetiere). The property is about a mile from the main road in a very quiet rural location, one of those places where it is really dark and really quiet at night. The location is great for touring the south west of Ireland, Cork is very close and the Dingle peninsula and Ring of Kerry are drivable in a day. Decent hill walking is half an hour away. There are good size chain stores in the nearby town of Macroom as well as local butchers, bakers and fishmongers. Aug 2010.
