Set in the Lake District National Park in an elevated position with stunning views over the Lyth Valley and open countryside to the hills beyond. Addyfield Properties make comfortable holiday home from which to walk direct from the door or for touring in the Lakes.
Just two miles from Lake Windermere at Fell Foot and only 5 miles from Bowness-on-Windermere with its wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants. Grange-over-Sands 7 miles. The location is perfect for making the most of one of England’s most beautiful National Parks. Excellent walking, climbing and a wide variety of watersports can all be enjoyed nearby.
Don’t miss Lake Windermere, perhaps one of the most evocative of the Lakeland waters - craggy fells and mountains of matchless beauty are carved by becks tumbling down to the lake below. Take a trip to the house of Beatrix Potter, where her imagination was stirred to create Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck, or many of Wordworth’s inspirational locations. Village shop 1 mile, pub with real ale ½ mile.

  6. Location is a little way out, but still only 4 miles from Windermere. Rachael is a lovely landlady and very helpful. There is a pub/restaurant within a half mile distance which is easy to walk to, although the one a mile walk away is much better! Excellent walking holiday base but not much for children in the immediate vicinity. Motorbike friendly too! Aug 2011.

  12. The Property was excellent value for money. The views overlooking the Lyth Valley and extending to Yorkshire were amazing. Such a tranquil retreat. Mr Crow and his daughter are excellent landlords who made our whole family feel welcome but did not intrude on our space. This was our best holiday yet and we intend to return. June 2008.
