These four holiday properties lie just 5 miles from the thriving market town of Kendal, which is steeped in history and offers shops, restaurants, indoor leisure centre and theatre. They are discreetly situated in a tranquil setting amidst 24 acres of privately owned hill land sloping down to the river with its tumbling waters enjoying an abundance of wildlife with buzzards and herons. Beautiful walks abound on nearby Bannisdale, Potter Fell and Haweswater. Although the valley is very secluded, Windermere, with its lake, is 9 miles to the west and the Yorkshire Dales National Park is 13 miles to the east, making these cottages an ideal touring base. The valley is very peaceful and offers spectacular scenery, and no holiday would be complete without the gentle walk to the valley top at Sadgill.
